Recommended Print Settings

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do the dots on the letter "i" float in some text generators?
Each letter's shape is made of separate outlines (contours). The dot on "i" or "j" is a separate contour from the stem. If a slicer treats them as independent islands, the dot will print as a loose piece. This tool's Auto-connect option adds a thin bridge between every floating contour and the nearest contour below it, so your print comes out as one solid piece.
Can I print the text in a different color than the base?
Yes, two ways. If you have a multi-material printer (AMS, MMU), use the "Download Parts" button to get the text and base as separate STL files, import both into your slicer, and assign each a different filament. On a single-nozzle printer, add a filament-change pause at the base plate height in your slicer and swap colors mid-print.
What is the difference between raised and engraved text?
Raised text sits on top of the base plate (or stands alone). Engraved text is carved down into the base plate, like a plaque — the base prints as one solid piece with recessed lettering. Engraved works especially well for desk signs, award plates, and stamps.

Can I print this on any 3D printer?
Yes. The STL is a standard binary file that loads in Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura, OrcaSlicer, and every other slicer. It works on FDM (filament) and resin printers.
Why is my text printing in pieces?
For script and connected fonts, individual letters may still be separate. Turn on "Link adjacent letters" to bridge them, or add a Base Plate for a flat backing that holds everything together.
